On Wednesday, January 12^th, 2022, members of the Hanover Police responded to an assault in progress on 5^th Avenue. Through investigation police formed grounds to believe a female youth had assaulted another person. The same female was also bound by previous court conditions to have no contact with the victim. Hanover Police have charged the female with Assault and Failure to Comply. She was later released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
