On Wednesday, January 18^th, 2023, Hanover Police responded to a shoplifting complaint in the 800 block of 10^th Street. Through investigation police determined that a 51-year-old female and an 18-year-old female from West Grey had stolen a small amount of merchandise. Both were arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with Theft. After release, police received further information that the same females had also taken items from a second store in Hanover. Both were re-arrested and again charged under the Criminal Code with Theft. Both have upcoming court dates in Walkerton.
