On Friday, August 27^th, 2021, Hanover Police attempted to stop a motor vehicle in the 200 block of 12^th Street. The vehicle fled but was later stopped in the 300 block of 7^th Avenue. Hanover Police have charged a 20-year-old Scarborough man under the Criminal Code with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. A passenger in the motor vehicle also provided police a false name. He was later identified as a 35-year-old Hanover man and has been subsequently charged under the Criminal Code with Personation with Intent. Both have upcoming court dates in Walkerton.
