On Friday, March 12^th, 2021, Hanover Police responded to a theft complaint at a business in the 800 block of 10^th Street. On arrival, police arrested a 22-year-old female from Walkerton. She had filled a shopping cart with various items and left with no attempt to pay. The female was already bound by court ordered conditions from numerous other criminal offences she was already facing. Hanover Police have charged the female under the Criminal Code with Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Failure to Comply with Court Conditions. The female was also found to be in possession of other property stolen from another local business. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
