On Wednesday, May 19^th, 2021, members of the Hanover Police Service attended the LCBO regarding a theft of alcohol. The suspect left prior to police arrival. Through investigation, police were able to identify the suspect as a 23-year-old Durham man. He was located a short distance away and taken into custody after a brief struggle. The man is facing several charges under the Criminal Code. The man was released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
