On Monday, January 2nd, 2023, Hanover Police were conducting a RIDE spot check on 7th Avenue, Hanover. A female drove into the RIDE check and was spoken to by police. Police determined that the female had been consuming alcohol and made a roadside request for a breath sample. This resulted in a “Fail” being registered on the roadside device. Police arrested the 51-year-old Hanover woman who later provided samples of her breath which were over the legal limit of alcohol. Her driver’s license was suspended for 90-days and her vehicle impounded for 7-days. The female was released from custody with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
