On Friday, September 2nd, 2022, members of the Hanover Police while on patrol attempted to stop a motor vehicle in the area of Bruce Road 10 and County Road 22. The driver fled from police and crashed moments later in the area of Marl Lake. The driver fled on foot but was captured a short distance away. Hanover Police have charged a 39-year-old Hanover man under the Criminal Code with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police, Operation while Prohibited, and Fail to Comply with Probation. He was further charged with several related Provincial Offences. The man was released from custody with an upcoming court in Walkerton.
