On Wednesday, September 13^th, 2023, members of the Hanover Police Service attempted to stop a motor vehicle in the area of 6^th Avenue, Hanover. The vehicle failed to stop and accelerated away at a high rate of speed. Prior to attempting to stop the vehicle police were able to identify the driver. Hanover Police later located and arrested a 30-year-old Hanover man. He has been charged under the Criminal Code with Flight from Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation while Prohibited. The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Walkerton.
