Phone Scams

Hanover Police have been receiving complaints regarding attempted phone scams in Hanover. In some cases fraudsters are claiming to be from Amazon, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The suspects attempt to glean personal information from the person they are calling. In some cases the fraudsters request gift cards be purchased. Remember never provide personal information over the phone to unknown/unconfirmed people.
