On Saturday, September 30^th, 2023, Hanover Police received a fraud report. The victim of the fraud was contacted via telephone by someone claiming to be from her retirement pension fund. The person told the victim that they needed remote access to her electronic tablet for security reasons. The victim complied and allowed the caller online access to her tablet. The caller assumed control of the tablet, which resulted in the caller accessing several hundred dollars from the victim’s bank account.
