On Sunday, January 29^th, 2023, members of the Hanover Police while on patrol observed a snowmobile being operated in the area of 10^th Street/11^th Avenue. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the driver of the snowmobile failed to stop. Police later observed the same snowmobile and had conversation with the driver who proceeded to swear at police before driving off again. Hanover Police contacted the driver on Wednesday, January 31^st, 2023 and requested that he attend the Hanover Police Station. On arrival, police arrested the 32-year-old Hanover man charging him with numerous Provincial Offences. He was further charged under the Criminal Code with Dangerous Operation, Flight from Police and Obstructing Police. He was later released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
