On Thursday, February 24^th, 2022, Hanover Police attended a traffic complaint in the 800 block of 10^th Street. On arrival, police located a 77-year-old Durham man consuming alcohol in his vehicle. A roadside screening test was completed which resulted in a Fail. The driver was arrested and later provided samples of his breath over the legal limit of alcohol. He has been charged under the Criminal Code with Over 80mgs and had his driver’s license suspended for 90-days. His vehicle was impounded and he faces an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
