On Sunday, May 28^th, 2023, Hanover Police while on patrol observed a vehicle parked on Knappville Road. Police stopped to check on the driver who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of various controlled substances. The 41-year-old West Grey man was arrested and transported to a qualified Drug Recognition Officer with the Ontario Provincial Police. The man was determined to be impaired by Drug and was charged under the Criminal Code with same. His license was suspended for 90-days and his vehicle impounded.
