On Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, members of the Hanover Police responded to a report of an intoxicated man inside a vehicle in the 1000 block of 10th Street. On arrival police spoke with the man and determined that he had been consuming alcohol. The man was subsequently arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was transported to the police station where he refused to provide suitable samples of his breath to determine alcohol concentration. Hanover Police have charged the 44-year-old Walkerton man under the Criminal Code with Impaired Operation and Refusal to Provide a Sample. His driver’s license was suspended for 90-days and his vehicle impounded.
