On Sunday, October 22^nd, 2023, Hanover Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a business in the 700 block of 7^th Avenue. The vehicle was immediately located on 10^th Street but failed to stop for police. The vehicle eventually pulled into a driveway and police spoke with the 27-year-old driver. Through this conversation police formed grounds to believe the driver was impaired by alcohol and arrested him for Impaired Operation and Flight from Police. The driver provided samples of their breath nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol. Their vehicle was impounded and their driver’s license suspended for 90-days. The driver has an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
