On Saturday, October 8^th, 2023, members of the Hanover Police responded to an unwanted person call at a business in the 700 block of 7^th Avenue. On arrival, police encountered an intoxicated 27-year-old Hanover man who was refusing to leave. The male left with police but continued yelling and swearing. Police arrested the male for Causing a Disturbance at which time he began to actively resist officers’ attempts to take him into custody. Once arrested the male was further charged with Resisting Arrest. All charges were under the Criminal Code. The man was later released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
