On Sunday, July 9^th, 2023, members of the Hanover Police Service responded to a Break and Enter on 5^th Avenue. On arrival, police located a known 49-year-old Hanover man sitting on a bench inside the front porch of the home. The man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The man was arrested without incident and charged under the Criminal Code with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling. He was later released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
