On Friday, September 8^th, 2023, Hanover Police received an assault report in the 200 block of 5^th Street. Through investigation police formed grounds to believe that, an 88-year-old male had assaulted another person. The victim did not require medical attention. The male was later spoken to by police and charged under the Criminal Code with Assault. He was released from custody with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
