On Friday, August 25^th, 2023, Hanover Police responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of 7^th Avenue. Through investigation police learned that a 23-year-old Hanover man had assaulted another person by striking them with an object. The victim did not require medical attention. Hanover Police have charged the man under the Criminal Code with Assault with a Weapon. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Walkerton.
