Man Arrested Twice in 24 hours

On Monday, January 2nd, 2023, members of the Hanover Police responded to a disturbance in 500 block of 10th Avenue. Through investigation police formed grounds to believe that, a 61-year-old Hanover man had threatened an associate. The man was arrested and proceeded to assault a police officer. The officer was not injured. After being placed into cells, the man urinated and spit all over making it hazardous for others. The man was held for a bail hearing but released by the courts on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023. On Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, the same man again threatened another person this time while armed with a hammer. Police responded and again arrested the man. Police searched the man and located two knives. Hanover Police have now charged the man with Uttering Threats, Failure to Comply with a Release Order and Possession of a Weapon (hammer). The man was again held for a bail hearing where he was remanded into custody.
