On Saturday, March 4^th, 2023 at 3:00am, members of the Hanover Police responded to the 800 block of 8^th Avenue regarding a break and enter in progress. The caller told police that a man was currently on his property trying to break into a backyard shed. On arrival, police located a 24-year-old Hanover man still inside the shed. The man was arrested and found to be armed with a BB handgun. Hanover Police have charged the man under the Criminal Code with Break and Enter, Possessing a Weapon, Trespassing by Night and Possession of Break and Enter Instruments. He was later released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
