On Wednesday, June 14^th, 2023, Hanover Police received a report of unauthorized debit purchases. The victim told police that they had lost their debit card and now realized that numerous transactions had taken place. Through investigation police identified a 27-year-old female and 39-year-old male as the suspects. Both were observed on video at various locations in Grey-Bruce Counties making purchases with the victim’s debit card. Police also determined that the male and female were on court conditions to have no contact with each other. Both were arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with numerous offences. Both were released from custody with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
