On Monday, November 6^th, 2023, Hanover Police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 200 block of 7^th Avenue. Through investigation police formed grounds to believe that, a 26-year-old man of no fixed address had assaulted another person. The same man also threatened another person while holding a knife. Hanover Police arrested and charged the man under the Criminal Code with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Assault and Uttering Threats. While investigating police also received, information that a 21-year-old woman who was present had also assaulted another person. No one required medical attention. Hanover Police have charged the female under the Criminal Code with Assault. The man and woman were released with upcoming court dates in Walkerton.
