On Monday, September 12^th, 2022, Hanover Police responded to a report of an aggressive driver coming into Hanover on 7^th Avenue. The vehicle in question was located and a traffic stop initiated. The driver when spoken to exhibited signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested and provided samples of his breath which were more than 3 times the legal limit. The 57-year-old Elmira man was charged under the Criminal Code with Impaired Operation, and Over 80mgs of Alcohol. His driver’s license was suspended for 90-days and his vehicle impounded.
