On Thursday, July 22^nd, 2021, Hanover Police while on general patrol observed a motorized scooter that had crashed in the Wal-Mart parking lot. In assisting the 62-year-old male driver it was determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and provided samples of his breath which were over the legal limit of alcohol allowed. Hanover Police have charged the man with Impaired Operation and Over 80mgs of Alcohol. Both charges were under the Criminal Code. He was released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
