Hanover Police are investigating a fraud which occurred over the previous couple months. The victim in this scam was contacted by unknown persons claiming to be from Readers Digest. They told the victim they had won millions of dollars. The fraudsters told the victim in order to receive his prize he would need to send a substantial bank transfer. The victim did so before realizing that he had been scammed. Hanover Police are cautioning the public to NEVER provide money in order to claim a prize.  If anyone has information about this incident, they are asked to contact the Hanover Police Service or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by submitting a secure Web Tip.
