On Thursday, February 9^th, 2023, Hanover Police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of 11^th Avenue. Through investigation police determined that a 24-year-old Hanover man had assaulted another person. The victim received minor injuries. The man also damaged property belonging to the victim and forcibly confined them to the residence. The man fled prior to police arrival but was located and arrested on Friday, April 14^th, 2023.  The man has been charged under the Criminal Code with several crimes of violence. He was subsequently held in custody for a bail hearing.
