On Friday, December 30th, 2022, members of the Hanover Police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 300 block of 10th Street. After speaking with both involved drivers police determined that a 60-year-old Brockton woman was impaired by alcohol. She had struck another vehicle being operated by a 28-year-old female with a suspended driver’s license. The 60-year-old driver provided samples of her breath that were more than 2 times the legal limit of alcohol. She has been charged under the Criminal Code with Impaired Operation and Over 80mgs of alcohol. Her driver’s license was suspended and her vehicle impounded for 7-days. The 28-year-old driver of the other vehicle has been charged under the Provincial Offences Act with driving while under Suspension. She also has an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
