On Sunday, October 15^th, 2023, Hanover Police while on patrol observed a known 42-year-old Hanover man in the company of a person he was on conditions to have no contact with. They were both sitting in a parked vehicle in the 300 block of 10^th Street. The man was on conditions stemming from an earlier alleged assault on the other person present. Hanover Police took the man into custody without incident charging him under the Criminal Code with Failure to Comply with a Release. He was subsequently held for a bail hearing in Walkerton.
