On Wednesday, August 2^nd, 2023, members of the Hanover Police Service responded to a disturbance on 7^th Street. Through investigation police formed grounds to believe a 33-year-old Aurora man had chased another person around a residence while armed with a baseball bat. The two individuals were known to each other. No one was injured. Hanover Police have arrested and charged the man with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. The man was later released from custody with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
