On Monday, June 12^th, 2023, members of the Hanover Police Service took a report of Assault. The victim told police that they were assaulted in the 300 block of 11^th Avenue. Through investigation, police formed grounds to believe a 56-year-old Hanover man had punched the victim. The victim did not require medical attention. The victim and accused were known to each other. Hanover Police have arrested and charged the accused under the Criminal Code with Assault. He was later released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.
